Burberry tartan pattern precision

Authentic Burberry fragrance packaging features the iconic beige, red, and black tartan. On genuine boxes, the tartan lines are perfectly parallel, evenly spaced, and the colors are consistent. Fake tartan patterns have uneven spacing, blurred lines, or wrong colors.

Equestrian Knight logo

The Burberry Equestrian Knight logo (knight on horseback with 'Prorsum' banner) on authentic bottles is detailed and cleanly rendered. On fakes, the knight appears simplified, disproportionate, or the banner text is illegible.

Bottle shape and glass weight

Authentic Burberry Her bottles have a clean rectangular profile with gently rounded edges and thick base glass. The glass feels heavy and has an even amber/pink color depth. Counterfeit bottles are lighter and the glass color is uneven.

Spray mechanism

Genuine Burberry atomizers produce a consistent fine mist and the nozzle does not clog or drip after use. The pump stroke is smooth and even. A coarse spray or one that leaves a wet mark on skin is a fake indicator.

Box font and finish

Burberry boxes have premium printing with matte or soft-touch coatings depending on the line. The Burberry name uses a specific condensed sans-serif typeface. Any variation in font weight, letter spacing, or a shiny box finish where it should be matte indicates a counterfeit.

Wrong tartan colors

Burberry's signature tartan uses a specific shade of camel/beige, black, white, and red. If any color appears off — too yellow, too orange, or with additional colors — the packaging is counterfeit.

Made outside UK or EU

Burberry fragrances are manufactured in the EU (primarily France and Spain under Coty). 'Made in China', 'Made in UAE', or any other non-EU origin is a counterfeit flag.

Thin or flexible box walls

Authentic Burberry fragrance boxes are rigid. If you can flex the box wall with light finger pressure, the packaging is counterfeit.

Her EDP wrong color

Burberry Her EDP has a distinctive light amber-pink juice. If the liquid appears watery, colorless, or dark amber, it is likely counterfeit or degraded.

Uneven cellophane

Factory-sealed Burberry products have tight, heat-shrunk cellophane with a clean tear strip. Loosely wrapped, taped, or missing cellophane on a 'new' product indicates tampering or a counterfeit.
