FragranceDecode helps people inspect batch-code formats and physical warning signs. It does not authenticate products, represent fragrance houses, or replace direct confirmation from a brand.
The central limitation
Counterfeiters can copy valid-looking codes. Genuine bottles can also use undocumented regional or historical formats.
How a result is produced

A manufacture month or year appears only when the rule defines where that value is encoded.

Every result carries a rule version, review date, evidence level, and linked sources when those sources exist.
REVIEW
Combine independent signals
Packaging, seller history, receipt, regional variation and direct brand support matter more than any one code result.
Evidence levels
- UNVERIFIED
- A legacy or community rule without a linked primary source.
- COMMUNITY
- Repeated observations with linked examples, but no authoritative documentation.
- DOCUMENTED
- A reproducible rule supported by dated, accessible documentation.
- OFFICIAL
- A statement or tool published by the relevant brand or manufacturer.
What strengthens a review
- • A receipt from a documented authorized seller
- • Matching bottle and box codes
- • Clear photos of labels, engraving, atomizer and packaging
- • Country, retailer and purchase date
- • Confirmation from the brand or manufacturer

Journal privacy and control
Optional ratings, wear logs, short memories, and shelf status stay in the open session unless you choose to download them. The regular user download is a readable PDF report. A technical backup file is available only when you need to load data back into FragranceDecode or copy it into an account. Signing in never uploads anything by itself.

FragranceDecode is independent and is not affiliated with the brands in its guides. Official-site links are not presented as endorsements. Third-party retailer links remain hidden until a dated authorization source is recorded. If affiliate links are activated, they will be labeled and will not change evidence levels, rankings or verification results.
